HAPPINESS IS… finding your city

The Pink Wall, Paul Smith LA. Don’t know what the fuss is all about? Try and then we’ll chat 😉

Hey y’all it’s been a while. Truth is I’ve been really busy with work, but also just being lazy in these chillier months.

Which is why one of my fave cities to visit is….drumroll….Los Angeles. It’s not for everyone, and it might not be that exciting to most, but if you know me well, you know how much I love LA and would love to someday call it home. I’m not a huge fan of the possibilities of earthquakes and #45 (you know who I mean), but one of those things is temporary. I find the city so vibrant and I feel alive in it. I feel beautiful, sexy, playful, all the fun things a woman should experience that I find lacking in my current city :(.

City of Angels. Wings on Melrose.

My LA trip was in September, so a couple of months ago now. I went to support a girl friend who had a big audition there, and I also got some of my meetings done. It was a fabulous time. We decided to do airbnb. Our first stop was in Santa Monica. We stayed at a beautiful guest house in the back of the owner’s property.

They have an orange tree right next to the door. So we could climb and pick oranges and just sit under the tree and eat them. That was a great highlight. You don’t get to do that very often, at least not in Vancouver. Can’t go to Santa and not go to the pier, seriously…You can’t not go to the pier (yes, that deserves a double negative in there).

Last day in Santa Monica. Then we headed to our 2nd airbnb spot in Little Armenia. Beautiful home as well. I’ve gotta say Airbnb is the way to go if you want to stay in an affordable place while exploring the city.

It was such a quick trip, but when I go to LA I gotta hit up Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles. I’m honestly drooling thinking about the food right now. If we were there another 3 days I would’ve made 2 more visits, lol. Just Kidding. Not kidding at all. 😀

Even Former President Obama agreed and had to stop by…see the pic in the background?

Strike a pose at the Pink Wall. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it 😀
