I have been on a weight loss journey for most of my life. I have lost tremendous amount of weight and felt amazing, only to gain it back and hate myself. 2017 started off with me weighing the heaviest I have every weighed. It really freaked me out. I told myself I didn’t want to see 200lbs, but I had said that about other numbers and passed them. I had no idea how I was going to take control of my life. I exercised. I juiced. All worked and felt great, but I would start and stop and start and stop.
I decided 2018 had to be different. I don’t want to make this a new years resolution ( I don’t do those), but I wanted to take care of my body and feel good about myself. Thankfully I was already in a challenge fitness group with a few amazing ladies, and we had all been on our own journeys following Beachbody programs. When I heard Autumn Calabrese had developed a new workout program called 80 Day Obsession, I was immediately intrigued. It had been released yet (released Jan 15th), but there was a 5 day workout, called A Little Obsessed, that basically gives you a glimpse of what was in the 80DO program. I did the 5 days the week before the 15th and I was hooked.
So, I became part of the text group for 80 Day Obsession. I just completed week 3 and I can’t express how much I love this program. I am actually obsessed. The exercises, and the timed nutrition is exactly what I needed. I’ve had those color containers for years and never used them till now, because I always thought it seemed so complicated. Now I realize how easy they are. I just have to want to put in the effort. I take them with my when I go out some times :D.
I feel motivated, strong, energetic, happy, healthy. I feel alive, for the first time in a long time. It’s been wonderful sharing this journey with so many other people who wanted to change their lives too.
I think I finally found “my thing”, when it comes to exercise and eating.
1st week of using my loops. I thought I would have to use the yellow ones since those are the beginners. Turns out I’m already stronger than I think, so green it was :D.
Increased my weights on leg day. I was used to using 5lbs and then bumping up to 8lbs for some of it. Turns out, I might actually need some 12lbs soon 😀
Week 3 completed! Here are my results so far. Can you see any difference?
Thanks for joining me on my journey.
